5 Favourite Neutral Shadows

Here are my 5 favourite Neutral MAC eyeshadow shades

swatch_PhloofPhloof: A frosted off white. This is my absolute favourite base shadow and highlight. It brightens up my face without being over-shiney. It’s a frost finish with a sheen, no shimmer or glitter. Works well on cool and warm skin tones.

swatch_antiquedAntiqued: Ash brown with bronze cast (Veluxe Pearl)This could possibly be my favourite shadow of all time (out of every brand!) It makes me look wide awake and brings out my blue eyes. This is a great shade for people with warm undertones.

swatch_platinaPatina: Muted taupe brown with golden shimmer (Frost) Cool toned, which makes it different. I love warm browns but it’s good to have a more neutral shade of brown in your collection. I use it to balance out a very warm shade (like Antiqued) or as an all over lid colour. Works well on cool and warm skin tones.

swatch_OmegaOmega: Soft muted beige-taupe (Matte) A great matte shade for blending out a smokey eye. It’s similar to my natural skin tone sop it’s perfect for blending out stronger colours.Works well on cool and warm skin tones.

swatch_woodwinkedWoodwinked: Warm antique gold (Veluxe Pearl) This shadow looks great on most skin tones and with every eye colour. It’s smooth and easy to blend. It also draws quite a bit of attention as it stands out. One of my all time favourites.

Woodwinked is a must for me, Tempting is one of my favourites ever. I love All that Glitters as a lid color, and Brule is great for blending. Satin Taupe is a great neutral as well.
But I like all the ones you described and many more, my Mac Shimmery Neutrals palette (with 21 shadows in it) is the one I use the most.

I have tempting and never use it so I’d be interested to hear how you use it :)

I love MAC’s Era and Mineral (from the Ungaro collection). Great neutrals, perfect for everyday or for when I’m not feeling inspired! I also like the Alhambra (duo) and Bengali (single) shadows from NARS. They are neutral colors but a a little bit bolder, so you can do something a little more dramatic.
I love your blog and YouTube channel, I recently came accross them and now I’m hooked! :o)

Aww thank you! This comes in time for me – I will have access to a MAC sotr in les than 2 weeks and I wanted more shadows:)))
Great favorites! How do you combine these?

My favourite is Phloof on the lid and Antiqued in the crease. I wear that combination alot. I also love Patina on the lid with satin taupe or sable in the crease. For more intensity I wear Patina on the inner third of the lid, woodwinked on outer third of the lid and Antiqued in the crease. I use Omega most days, but only to blend out other shadows. :)
