I love reading posts like these, they’re great if you’re stuck in a creative rut! Here are some ways I like to incorporate lavender into my eye make-up.
Apply lavender all over the lid and up into the crease. Use an iridescent neutral highlight to the brow bone and blend down into the lavender. Bring the highlight down to the inner corner of the eye and on the tear duct. Finally apply sa little lavender shadow under the eye, smudge away any harsh lines so the finished effect is soft and ethereal.
2. Pink and Purple:
Apply a soft pink shadow to the inner 2/3’s of the eye. Apply some lavender to the outer corner of the eye and blend into the pink. I sometimes stoop there but if I fancy a bit more definition I apply a plum shadow into the crease and blend well.
3. Sexy / Smokey:
Apply lavender shadow all over the lid and blend under the eye. Take a charcoal gray shade and blend some into the outer third of the eye. Apply the same shade into the crease and blend down to the inner eye area. (leaving the lavender shade visible in the middle of the lid) Apply a highlight to the brow bone and blend down. Smudge some charcoal under the outer third of the bottom lash line. Finally blend a black shadow into the ‘outer v’ of the eye for extra definition.
Start by applying a neutral (beige, cream, taupe etc) matte or satin finish shadow to the lid, concentrating the product on the inner 3/4’s of the eye. Apply a mid tone taupe/brown to the crease and outer corner, blend into the base colour. Apply lavender shadow under the eye, blend away any harsh lines.
Start by applying a lavender shadow all over the lid, blend under the eye, 3/4 of the way. Apply a highlight shade to the brow bone. Take a vibrant purple shadow and apply to the outer 1/3 of the eye and blend inwards, leaving the lavender visible on the inner third of the eye. Smudge some purple under the outer third of the bottom eye line. Line the upper lashline with a liquid liner for some drama and add plenty of mascara.
