Hauls, Nail Polish/Care

A Little Nail Care Haul

I’m on a bit of a nail care kick at the moment so I have been picking up products left right and centre, the latest of which are thanks to Rimmel. I’m a huge fan of the 60 second nail polishes so I am keen to try these.

Stronger, Pro Super Wear and Nail Rescue

Nail Rescue – This is a professional “salon”-style 2 week treatment that is designed for brittle and weak nails. It promises to make nails noticeably harder and stronger after just two weeks usage. Testing starts today on this one!

Pro Super Wear Top Coat This one is a high shine top coat, a 3D superior shine topcoat according to the label :) It claims to be chip resistant for up to 10 days. It’s designed to prolong intensity of the nail colour and wear. I’ll be back with an update.

Stronger Base/ Top Coat with LYCRA This one is designed to reinforce nails with diamond particles and calcium. Sounds fancy. It also contains Vitamin A & E, Pro-Vitamin B-5 for conditioning – this really appealed to me. According to the instruction I should apply it as a base coat and a top coat.  They claim that the lycra formula makes the finish more durable.  Watch this space.

Have you tried any of these? What do you use as a top and base coat?

The nail rescue has been a HG item of mine for years now! Amazing stuff!

i use all opi products except polish remover(mine ran out a few weeks ago:'( lol) i use the original nail envy; 2 coats as a base, then whatever polish i’m using then the opi rapid dry top coat then i use avoplex cuticle and nail oil and then the moisturising cream then put another coat of the nail envy on everyday for a week then start all over:P

if you’re looking for longer, stronger and healthier nail then all these will do no good if you use a nail polish remover with acetone in it, acetone makes your nail dehydrated, there is an acetone free nail polish remover in peacocks, however when i had on nail tips they seemed to soften everytime i used it so i’m guessing they were lieing:L opi does a good one, although its a little pricey:/:L

I got this rimmel top coat about 1 week ago….i needed it to go over OPI’s teenage dream to take away the grittyness of it. I have to say I am not that impressed with it. I heard Seche Vite (or something like that is meant to be good). However I think it contains some toxic chemicals which put me off getting it. Still looking for the perfect top coat.

I’ve been using Nail Rescue ever since I stopped biting my nails 7 years ago. My nails are really long, beautiful and don’t have anything wrong with them, and have been for years and years now, and if you know what state nails are in after years of being bitten you’ll see how much of a recommendation that is :)

I love stronger base and top coat although I’m usually too lazy to use it as a bottom coat. Hope you like it :-) Meela xoxo
