I have received quite a few questions about cellulite lately. I’m no expert. My brief run in with the dreaded orange peel was short lived thanks to 7 cups of Dr Stewarts Detox Tea daily over a week. Excesseive? Certainly. Necessary? Absolutely.
The tea worked a treat because I noticed a small patch of cellulite one day and two days after I started hammering back the detox tea (I bought it in Holland and Barret). That was about 4 years ago and I haven’t seen any since. At the time my diet was sinful. I eat fairly healthily now and have no cellulite issues. (touch wood)
I’m assuming the tea worked because the cellulite was newly formed. For more stubborn stuff you’re gona have to work a little harder. With this in mind, and bikini season approaching, (more…)

This recipe makes a rich moisturising scrub. I think it’s particularly good for dry or sensitive skin. Instead of using salts or sugar, the almonds in this scrub exfoliate the skin gently. The cucumber soothes any inflammation. All you need is
- 110g Ripe Avocado
- 40g Ground Almond
- 110g Cucumbers
Whip the advocado and cucumber together in a blender, add the almonds and smooth into a puree. Massage into damp skin to slough off any dead skin. Rinse and pat the skin dry.
I make this every once in a while whenever I fancy a gentle body exfoliator.

Hopefully you have already read my post on Colour Theory and are now ready for colour co-ordination. (click here to see colour theory post)
As a make-up artist it is important to choose products that co-ordinate when working on a client. The colours you chose should relate to each other in the completed look.
Eyes: The prime objective is to improve and define the eyes. You should ensure that the eye make-up harmonises with the overall look.
Cheeks: The biggest blush mistake people make is matching their blush to their outfit. Blush should be harmonious with the skin tone. What you are wearing should have no bearing on your colour choice.
Lips: When choosing lip colour consider the outfit/costume, skintone and hair.
Foundation: When choosing foundation ensure it matches the clients skintone exactly. This often means mixing shades.
Eyebrows: The eyebrow colour should match the hair colour or harmonise with it. A tip for working on blondes, use a taupe colour, reddy browns look off.
