I couldn’t decide whether to post this on my bump blog or here but since I’m wearing ordinary clothes, i.e. not maternity wear, I thought I would keep it here. So many of you have asked to see a bump picture, here I am, 20 weeks pregnant.
Please note that the sun was shining when I got dressed, if only for a minute. We’ll just ignore the hail showers for now.
Jeggings – Penneys / Primark
Boots – Roxy
Top – Dunnes stores (but sold everywhere for Summer)
Cardi – Forever21 (few seasons ago)
Necklace – RubyCotton.com
Glasses – Accessorize
Spring fever anyone?? My hair is a slept-in-style with a quick run of the brush. I didn’t have time to faff. I didn’t bother adding a Face of the Day as I’m wearing the same old, same old today – Nars Sheer glow foundation, MUFE hd powder, MAC Woodwinked eyeshadow all over my eye and Daniel Sandler mascara (love!). I applied lip gloss but then ate toast so I doubt there was any left. Man, how my life has changed.
You can see why I need both right? :) At least the case is far cheaper than the purse. Hmm… How often do I lug my dear mac book around though?! At most I bring it my mum’s house and I also have it out when travelling. Think that just about justifies a splurge.
On another note, I always wondered what my Mother’s fascination was with luggage. She once asked for a suitcase for Christmas and I thought she had gone mad. To me that was the same as asking for a nice hoover. Lately though I have found myself lusting after some nice luggage pieces, what has become of me?!
I picked up these shoes yesterday and had to share. They were an absolute bargain!
I bought them in a shop in the Ilac Centre (Dublin). Before I get to the shop I have to admit that I haven’t been in the Ilac Centre for years. Not since my Nannie used to leave me sitting on the rocks around the fake waterfall with a bar of Dairy Milk (back in the good aul days when it was safe leaving your child somewhere public) while she did her shopping. Anyway, I used their car park yesterday and had a wander.
The shop is called Cans and sells only Coverse style and Vans style shoes – not the real thing mind you, nor are the supposed to be copies They’re just in-the-style-of.
I saw eight pairs that I really liked but eventually settled on this khaki pair. The best part is that they only cost €15!! They’re lovely on and I am positively delighted with myself.I should mention that if it’s necessary to try them on before you buy as there is not a whole lot of consistency with sizing.
Outfit of the Day posts featuring these cuties to follow.

I have listened to your requests for more fashion posts! Let me know what you think :)
I have a new pair of red skinny jeans from River Island. They’re very pretty, but the colour scares the bejasus out of me. I decided that instead of being terrified I would take the bull by the horns (see, red’s appropriate) and put together an Outfit of the Day type post. In the interest of being, well, more interesting, I put three separate outfits together using the same pair of jeans.
This one I must have. I may ask Santa for it. I’m not a fan of Ted Baker usually but I passed this purse whilst perusing the racks at House of Fraser Dundrum. It looks far prettier in person and is actually more of a coral red. I even love the interior. It would go perfectly with my favourite magenta coloured bag. It shall be mine.
Outfit of the Day are among my most requested posts. Thank you all for the requests. I promise to do more of them! Here is today’s outfit, this is my idea of relaxed casual. I am most comfortable in clothes like this.
Ignore the gruaig, it’s a mess. I just got up, got dressed and went out for breakfast. I need my highlights done asap! I also need a hair cut. I haven’t anyone near it after the short hair incident of 2010 :)
I love these boots. They’re so comfortable. I bought them in M&S last week for €60…bargain! You have probably already heard me raving about my bucket bag. I had trouble finding the Zara bucket bag, the one that all the fashion editors were raving about. It was almost €100 anyway so imagine my surprise when I find this one in Penneys (primark for those in the UK) for €11. Happy.
My beads are from Penneys too. I must have worn these a million times. I like that they’re not plastic (wood, I think) so they don’t make my skin warm. They almost weigh nothing too.
My bracelets are from Dorothy Perkins. I buy sets like this all the time. They end up together on my jewellery organiser so I mix and match when I’m getting dressed.
Shorts are from H&M, top and tights are from Penneys. These are my favourite pair of tights, they’re charcoal. I find them much softer than black. I should probably stock up. Knowing my luck they’ll discontinue them!
I love the champagne of this bag. I’m a huge fan of the shape too. I don’t have a similar bag so I feel I can justify the purchase. It’s also great value. I found it on Topshop’s website (hence the lack of euro pricing). Sometimes when I find something lovely online, I am disappointed when I see the item in the flesh. In my experience this is is usually down to finish or the materials used. I hope I’m right about this one.
Estée Lauder Spotlight Skin Tone Perfector
The illuminating component of this cream doesn’t really appeal to me – I have too many illuminating products. What stands out about this product is that it apparently helps prevent discolourations while helping fade the look of existing discolourations. This sounds great to me. It could very well be too good to be true but we’ll see. If you have tried products like this before let me know what your thoughts are.
French Connection Rusty Trilby (€37)
I came across this gorgeous trilby on asos’s website. I love.
Saying that I would love these goodies unfortunately doesn’t mean I will indulge. I try very hard to control myself :) Generally, if I find myself thinking about a product or item repeatedly I tend to cave and pick it up. That way I avoid impulse buying and spend my money on things I really want.
I’m accessory mad! At the moment I’m obsessed with bracelets. I’ve taken a break from anything that jangles when I move – I only end up removing them anyway.
Here are a few little items I have picked up…
I bought the first set in Penneys/Primark for €3. I bought a second set as I love the colours. They looks amazing with a tan. They also bling a little and I am partial to a bit of blingin’!
The next one, I love! I found this in Jane Norman, not a shop I frequent but I was bored. It was reduced to €3. They also had them in pink.
The third set came from Penneys too for €3. I love the colours and I like that they won’t jingle :)
The final set are from Dorothy Perkins. Again, not a shop I frequent, but I was glad I did when I found this bracelet set reduced to €2.50 from some ridiculous price. I have been wearing these a lot – they go with everything! And despite the charms, there’s no jingling :)
I’ve also been wearing this set separately – so pretty!
And lastly, a cheapy fun ring from Penneys for €3. I had on a grey nail polish and when I tried this one it looked very pretty.
I enjoyed sharing those, makes me appreciate them more :)
