I’m going to skirt over my absence and hope you forgive me! I had to have a little beauty rave. I’m beach crazy. Beach hair, beach skin, beach bags, sandals, swinmwear… you get the gist. If there is a scent of the sea incorporated into a fragrance, hair or skin product it is inclined to end up in my shopping basket. It just cheers me up, makes me happy and reminds me of relaxing times. I hated Secondary school and on bad Winter days I used to smear myself in Hawaiin Tropic… hey, whatever gets you through right!

REVIEW | Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette
Gwen is synonymous with cool. In my world Gwen is also synonymous with teenage heartbreak, oh yes I was that teenager you heard crying her eyes out to Don’t Speak after a boy I liked for 3 whole days kissed someone called Vicky at the local disco (*rolls on the floor laughing at that memory). Thankfully my taste in boys improved somewhat albeit after a few disasters ha, but I remained a Gwen fan. I mean she sampled Maria from The Sound of Music, the woman just ticks all my boxes.
Urban Decay’s Pulp Fiction Palette, Polish & Eyeliner
I’m not ashamed to admit that if Urban Decay release a new palette, I have to have it. I love the quality and pigmentation of the shadows, adore the packaging and well I honestly I get sucked in by the limited edition part. There is a par of me that also loves a gimmick. Their latest palette was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film Pulp Fiction.
I love a good set of eyelashes. But I have to be honest, I haven’t always been a fan of strip lashes. They were once reseverved for dramatic makeup looks, which isn’t really me. These days there are plenty of every-day type lashes that are comfortable to wear and don’t peel mid way through your day. Best of all, no one can tell. Well unless you want them to.
Eylure lashes are a favourite of mine. The main reason for this is quality but price is a close second. If you look after them you can wear them again and again. I have been trying out their new collection over the past few months.
Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Collection – Review & Pics
I won’t lie to you, I just about skipped with delight when Charlotte Tilburry’s makeup range arrived at their new stand in Brown Thomas. I mashed myself in between all the bodies trying to get a nosy at the beauteous products I had heard so much about. I got the chance to join some other beauty bloggers and really explore the brand. I am in love!
NEW | CC Illuminating Foundation & Eye Roll On from GOSH | Review
I know I have been a naughty blogger and haven’t posted in ages. I had some site issues combined with some holidays and well time got away from me. The good news is that I have been testing heap loads of new products in that time and have engaged in a spot of shopping, ok so “a spot” is an understatement but you knew that! I have a lot to share and have been preparing blog posts like the good little obsessive beauty junkie I am. So enjoy today’s makeup musings and I shall be back in the morning to tell you about an amazing lifting treatment and something called ‘the Cinderella effect’. Disney princess’s completely grab my attention.
NEW |Heavy Metal Loose Glitter & Adhesive from Urban Decay ♥ Photos & Review
I have a love/hate relationship with glitter. I’m drawn to it like a moth to a flame but I loathe mess. If you are a fan of glitter then you will love these new Heavy Metal Glitters from Urban Decay. The glitters came about when Urban Decay developed their Bondage Weightless Makeup Adhesive. The product held so well that they decided to work on loose glitters that would actually stay put.
PREVIEW: Electric Pressed Pigment Palette from Urban Decay | Swatches & Review
You know I’m usually a boring neutrals girl, but this Urban Decay Palette made my eyes pop. It’s the new Electric Pressed Pigment Palette from Urban Decay and it’s like standing in a sweet shop. Holy shockingly vivid colours Batman! Dork, I know. However neutral I am I sometimes enjoy playing with colour. And what better way to to do that than with a palette like this. As they say, go big or go home!
MeMeMe arrives in Ireland – Properly! …….. First Impressions & Pics
So MeMeMe Cosmetics have arrived in Ireland… all over Ireland! Woo Hoo! For those of you interested in the brand you may have noticed it’s presence in Superdrug in Santry over the years. It was always poorly stocked, there were never testers available and all of the products left on the shelves had been opened, used and were smudged or broken. The brand really called to me each visit though – it’s affordable, and the boutique packaging is so cute. It was a tad out of place in our awful Superdrug store. Now it will be available in pharmacies all over Ireland, and not in Superdrug at all. I couldn’t be happier.
Closed! GIVEAWAY | Make Up For Ever HD BLUSHER 2014 | Second Skin Cream Blush
I know it’s been a while since I posted, tut tut! I thought I’d let you all know I’m back to daily posting :) If you frequent my blog you know I’m a die hard fan of Make Up For Ever products. I get all excited when I hear about their product launches. Next to arrive on our shores is the new HD Blusher, Second Skin Cream Blush. I have heard great reviews from those of you in the US who already has access to them so I can’t wait to try them. (Giveaway below)…
What is it? It’s essentially a cream blush with HD technology that melts onto the skin. It gives a natural flush of colour. I find cream blushes can sometimes be a bit gaudy on my skintone so the ‘natural flush’ grabbed my attention. It’s said to be better than cream and powder blush because of its second skin finish. This means you can’t see the texture of the product on the skin, the blush looks like its your own, no trace of makeup. Usually cream products need to be applied before powder but this one can be used under or over powder. Another pro is that its completely lightweight. It doesn’t interfere with the makeup beneath it and is said to hide imperfections whilst lasting all day on the skin. It’s suitable for all skin types, oily skinned girls rejoice!
Application These blushes are applied with a brush, HD sponge or fingertips depending on the look you’re going for. Shades There are 16 wide and universal shades to suit all skin tones. Available in 4 levels of skin gradation as well as cool shades and warm shade tones.
- Light Skin (2xx)
- Medium (2xx)
- Tan (4xx)
- Deep (5xx)
