Bye bye Eye Crinkles – Radical Eye Revive Cream Review

I’m obsessed with eye creams at the moment. I will try anything. Admitedly most of what I have tried has been rubbish – not even worth a mention. The latest eye cream on my testing list is Read more…

Video: My Current Skincare Routine

Yes, I’ve changed my skincare routine again. I’m fickle when it comes to skincare products. I tend to find a routine that works for me and I use it until my skin plateaus and then try something else. I recorded a video sharing my current favourites. My skin has improved ten fold.

What products have you been using lately?

Eye Cream Review – Lancome Rénergie Yeux Multiple Lift (new)

I have been using Lancome Rénergie Yeux Multiple Lift for 4 weeks now and I’m a happy lady.

What is it?

Essentially it’s an eye cream and concealer duo. It claims to provide a firmer eye contour, minimise crow’s feet, fine lines and wrinkles, diminished dark circles, reduced under eye puffiness and make the eye area more luminous.

Application

I always enjoy the application of this product. I apply the cream morning and night and the concealer part morning only. I pat the cream under my eye focusing on the areas where I suspect crows feet might form in a few years (fingers crossed for a few years and not sooner!)

I have noticed a difference in the fine lines under my eye. They were very minor but aren’t really visible at all now.

The concealer part

The concealing layer is my favourite.I pat it on under my eye, on my inner eye and on the lid after morning application of the cream. Instantly, I look rested and awake. I like this so much that I could see myself getting a little addicted to it. I like that before I even apply any make-up I look rested.

It doesn’t settle into fine lines and there is no need to set it like make-up. It counteracts under eye discoloration and hides any veins and reduced puffiness. I haven’t used any under eye concealer since I started using it.

Scent, packaging and price…

Scent wise, I would say this product smells typically Lancome. If you’re familiar with the brand you’ll know the scent I mean, it’s hard to describe.

I really like the packaging. It has a little mirror in the top which helps whilst applying the concealing layer. The main cream is housed in a separate jar under the concealer layer.

Price? Friggin’ expensive! But worth it in my opinion. It suits my needs perfectly. When the jar in finished I suspect I will miss this, I sense a re-purchase on the cards.

My final thoughts

I like this product for prevention and first signs of ageing. As for whether it would work on more mature skin, I’m afraid I can’t be of help there as I’m in my twenties. Maybe I’ll pass it on to my mum for a few weeks and see how she gets on with it. I’ll keep you updated.

I’m a fan.

What eye cream do you use, if any?

Lancôme Renergie Yeux Multiople Lift – Next for testing!

Next on my testing list is Lancôme Renergie Yeux Multiople Lift. I will be testing it on myself but since I have minimal eye aging issues, for now, a friend of mine who hates her crows feet , darkness and puffiness will also be testing the product.

This is a double formula treatment which claims to produce six effects:

  • a firmer eye contour
  • minimised crow’s feet
  • fine lines and wrinkles
  • diminished dark circles
  • reduced under eye puffiness
  • and a visibly more luminous eye

The cream also claims to help the skin around the eye contour to become progressively firmer.

Sounds good right? I’m in. I haven’t used many eye creams before, you may have noticed their absence on my blog.

Recommended application:

Step 1: gently apply a small amount of cream to the eye contour starting at the inner corner of the eye: Under the eye, smooth over any puffiness or dark circles. On the upper eyelid, including over the eyebrow. From the outer corner of the eye up to the temple to smooth out crow’s feet. Repeat each movement three times.

Step 2: after applying the cream, apply the protective illuminating treatment with the fingertips over three specific areas: The inner corner of the eye, dark circles and puffiness, below the eyebrows. Carry out light, circular movements until the texture blends perfectly into the skin.

The cream should be applied every morning to clean skin before applying make-up.

I think I can manage that!

Complimentary ‘eye spa service’ at the launch

Also to celebrate the launch Lancôme Arnotts team are in store today from 6pm and they are offering a complimentary ‘eye spa service’ with their skincare and makeup service.

Availability and Price

Lancôme Renergie Yeux Multiople Lift is exclusive to Arnotts from March 3rd – April 1st 2011 and is priced at €53. Steep, but hopefully worth it.

I’ll get back to you on the effects of this one after a few weeks of testing.

What eye cream are you using at the moment?

Lush Enchanted Eye Cream

I was delighted to try Lush’s Enchanted Eye Cream. I thought it might be time for me to start incorporating an eye cream into my skin care regime.

Firstly let me start off by saying that I like the packaging. Although it’s a little pricey for Lush you get quite a lot of product. Considering how little eye cream we use on a daily basis this would last ages.

Texture wise it’s not oily or greasy. It absorbs quickly which is good. That aside, this eye cream did pretty much nothing for me after 7 weeks of use. There is no difference to the skin around my eye. But I have to point out that it may be that I don’t need an eye cream yet.

During the 6th week of use I noticed a few clogged pores around my eye area, not good. I have read quite a few reviews on this cream. Some people love it, particularly those who suffer from skin sensitivity and can’t use the usual eye-creams. Some ladies Read more…
