When Lush launched their Toothy Tabs I was keen to try them out. They’re environmentally friendly and portable.
That being said, it did take me a few days to get my head around the idea of using a solid toothpaste. It was a doddle though and to my great surprise, not weird at all.
The packaging is dead handy. I left one on the side of my sink and threw another in my handbag with a travel toothbrush for use on the go. The box reminds me of those edible sticks they used to sell when we were little in the match box.
Dirty Toothy Tabs are my favourite. They’re made with spearmint to freshen your breath and foaming agents to scrub your pearly whites clean in the morning. It did just that. They come in a variety of flavours – Dirty, Aquatic, Ultrablast and Sparkle.
How to use:
1. Pop a Toothy Tab into your mouth.
2. Crunch it up.
3. Start brushing with a wet toothbrush.
4. Brush your toofy pegs with the foam.
5. Do it for a good 3 minutes to get them extra clean.
6. Rinse your mouth out.
I didn’t love the taste but they are very convenient, didn’t make my teeth sensitive and really gave my teeth a good clean. I did need to rinse my mouth out a few times after use to get rid of the residue but that’s not a problem. They seem to be doing a good job of keeping my teeth white too.
They’re £2 per box (according to the UK site – I’ll check the price in Lush shops in Ireland and update the post). I’m converted.
