Hair Fragrance – Shu Uemura Essence Absolue

I’ve said this a few times but what’s one more eh?! I’m a hige fan of Shu Uemura. I have only recently begun to explore their hair care products, which so far I have been very impressed with. This week I have been trying their new nourishing hair fragrance –  Essence Absolue Nourishing Fragrance Oil with Pearls.

This limited edition version has the same benefits of the original Essence Absolue, but in a beautiful hair fragrance.

The precious, light mist captures the quintessence of Camellia Oil in a refined perfume, offering intense shine and nourishment, with the delicacy of a flower.  Results: The delicate oil flawlessly perfects hairstyles with a subtle lingering scent and an intense radiance.

Scent The fragrance is divine. Any hair scents I have tried before smell cheap, too sugary or too fruity. This isn’t a hair oil with a smell, it’s a scent. It is a scent I would wear as a perfume. It’s sensuous and elegant and suits any age. I’ve lost count of the compliments, I think that says it all.

Effects on Hair Two spritzes and my hair felt really smooth and soft. There was no greasy residue. Best of all, it took down my flyaways and a little frizz from the bad weather.

How to Use Shake before use and spray 20cm / 8in from hair.  A little goes a long way so be careful not to over-do it.

Value These is a huge bottle (100ml /3 fl oz) for €50. Considering how little you need I can’t imagine running out any time soon. This one I will definitely buy again when it runs out. I don’t wear a perfume when I have this in my hair. As you move throughout the day the scent works just like a perfume on your skin, sans the alcohol. Because hair moves it keeps releasing the fragrance. I think it’s worth the splurge.

Packaging Top Notch. Even the box is gorgeous. This is one for your dresser rather than your drawer.

Bottom Line I’m in love!

It’s available from select premium professional salons nationwide from this month.
