Honey Bronze? Yes Please!

It’s that time of year again. Time to be bronzed and smooth. Man, it’s so much work. Admittedly I do enjoy being a little more high maintenance during Summer. I have been dabbling with a few products from The Honey Bronze collection from The Body Shop.

Honey Bronze Shimmering Oil (€25.95) – I gave this one a try last year but there is a new deeper golden shade available. This does exactly what it says – it’s a dry oil that provides some colour and shimmer. It doesn’t feel greasy or oily at all. It’s also quite subtle – although it doesn’t look this way in the bottle. I applied it last week (during the only week of sunshine we will get here in Ireland)  down the front of my shins to provide some colour but mostly to make my legs appear a little longer (damn shorty legs).

I remember spending a fortune on a similar Michael Kors leg gel many years ago. This does the same thing but costs a whole lot less. I didn’t find it orangey at all and think it would be fabulous on holiday – although transferring the oil to a plastic bottle for traveling would be essential. I also love the packaging! If you’re not into shimmery products steer clear.

Honey Bronze Shimmer Lip Balm (€5.95) The packaging may be adorable but I really like the balm itself. Like all of The Body Shop lip balms I have tried I don’t find them overly nourishing but I tend to be attracted to the colours. This one is no different. It’s a light, sheer, shimmery nude balm.

It’s sweetly scented and looks really pretty with a tan. This is the perfect beach product (with heap loads of spf balm underneath of course). It is more nourishing than the lip butters but it wasn’t enough to repaid my lips. For me, this one is all about the shimmer.

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder (€20.50) My sister has this bronzer in the fairest shade, it was the lightest bronzer we could find for her very light skin and she loves it.  This shade is darker and more suited to my skintone. It’s very natural, matte and easy to blend.  I use my Sigma blush brush (squashed sideways) to apply. There are 4 shades available.

Any favourites from The Body Shop? Would love some recommendations!

Ps I’ll be back with a new post tomorrow morning – I have a bit of a wait before my C-Section :)
