Lush Solid Facial Serum Bars

I’m a fan of body butters but one for the face? I was a little sceptical. I have been trying out two Lush Facial Serum Bars.

1. Full of Grace (dry/mature skin)

P1020858This is designed for very dry or mature skins. According to the Lush site it contains rose oil, almond oil, chamomile, rose petal infusion, murumuru butter and almond oil. These ingredients are said to improve elasticity, rich in vitamin A and E, fight free radicals and reduce inflammation. You can use it alone or before your moisturiser. Since I have normal to combination skin this is much too oily for my skin. Instead I have been using this on my dry bits; elbows and knees mainly. It’s lovely.

2. Saving Grace (oily skin)

P1020862This serum bar is for oily skin. Yay! It smells of citrus oils. It works as an astringent on the skin. It also contains AHA’s which dissolve dead skin cells, I’m hoping that this will have a positive effect on my acne scars. The oils used are designed to regulate oily skin and have a de-greasing effect.

I think they’re goo value since they cost €10.95 per 20g bar and unlike the body butter bars they’ll last ages.

Even though I have dry skin, i’ve been using Saving Face as my night moisturiser for a few weeks now. It’s absolutely beautiful, smells lovely and great for my skin. Full of Grace was just a wee bit too oily for me but a friend of mine has been using it daily and her skin is glowing like she’s never known before.

Those sound absolutely divine Amy. I have oily, acne prone skin, so I can’t wait to find out how you get on with Saving Grace!
