Lush Enchanted Eye Cream

I was delighted to try Lush’s Enchanted Eye Cream. I thought it might be time for me to start incorporating an eye cream into my skin care regime.

Firstly let me start off by saying that I like the packaging. Although it’s a little pricey for Lush you get quite a lot of product. Considering how little eye cream we use on a daily basis this would last ages.

Texture wise it’s not oily or greasy. It absorbs quickly which is good. That aside, this eye cream did pretty much nothing for me after 7 weeks of use. There is no difference to the skin around my eye. But I have to point out that it may be that I don’t need an eye cream yet.

During the 6th week of use I noticed a few clogged pores around my eye area, not good. I have read quite a few reviews on this cream. Some people love it, particularly those who suffer from skin sensitivity and can’t use the usual eye-creams. Some ladies found that it improved the texture of the skin around the eye a little. Many others found that this cream did nothing at all.

I wasn’t expecting anything¬† groundbreaking but I was expecting it to do something rather then nothing for my skin.

I would consider this eye cream is an average emollient. Although it contains relatively few ingredients in comparison to other eye creams, it does contains parabens.

What’s your favourite eye cream? Have you tried this? What do you think? I can’t help it, I’m nosy!

My brother recommended I would possibly like this website. He used to be entirely right. This post truly made my day. You can not imagine simply how so much time I had spent for this info! Thank you!

@Amy – Thank you so much. That’s a brilliant tip. I’ll pick up some milk thistle. It sounds great! Good for skin & hangovers – sounds like my kind of stuff!

I have dark circles and what I like to call computer lines under my eyes! I started using eye cream and I’m getting little white bumps. What can you do to get rid of them? (will stop using the eye cream for a start I think!)

@Aoife Yep! The white bumps are Milia. Creams with minerals oils act like clingfilm on the skin. Taking milk thistle drops in water got rid of the discolouration under my eyes. It cleanses the liver and then effects the skin) Well worth it! Also great for hangovers :)

Hi Amy, I totally agree with you and the other people. The eye cream does nothing. However, I stopped using it after a month after it started to clog my pores.

I agree with Annie. I love the Garnier Anti-fatiguq eye cream. Ive been using the same tube forever and it does great. I pair that with the anti-puff roller and they both work wonders for such a low price!

hey amy! i totally agree with you on lush’s eye cream. I have used it daily for 3 full months now and i have seen no difference. i thought it was just me because i too don’t need an eye cream yet. i use them for prevention mostly. i’m glad i’m not the only one who thought this product did nothing for me! love your posts! =)

What eye cream works for you really depends on what your needs are. I have the beginning of some fine lines around my eyes, and I tackle them with an active eye cream containing high levels of Vit C & A. I then layer with a more nourishing cream over the top as the actives can be dehydrating. I don’t trust creams that claim to do everything – I think hydration and treatment of fine lines are two seperate things. Just my two cents worth! Loving your website Amy xx

thank you for being honest about this eye cream! i think eye creams tend to have a placebo effect on people… the more they spend… the better they feel that it “works”. right now i am using the garnier nutrisse anti fatigue eye cream and i’m loving it! it softens and moisturizes my sensitive under eye area and it doesn’t break the bank! i’m posting my april faves on youtube today or tomorrow and it’s in there! xoxo

    p.s. great post!

Hey Amy!! I have never tried the Lush eye cream, because Paula Begoun gives it and all Lush products a bad review due to the irritating ingredients they all contain. The eye product that I do like and use is the Olay Eye Regenerist Serum. I am not that old yet, but live in a very dry and sunny climate and it has helped diminish the fine lines I had around my eyes. For under eye dark circles and puffiness, I sometimes use Wei East Herbal Eyes Alive. That is a miracle worker when I haven’t got enough sleep. Would love to see your review of those two products.
