MAC Bargains from the CCO…Woo Hoo!

I have been falling behind on blog posts the last few days, apologies. I’m back in gear now. Back to my two/three posts daily.

I have a little CCO haul to share. For those of you who don’t know what a CCO is, it’s the Cosmetic Compant Outlet (Yes there is one in Ireland! At Junction 1). Like any outlet the items from past seasons at reduced prices. Charan, a fellow blogger (a true bargain hunter, check out her blog), was in the CCO a few weeks ago and rang me to see if I anted anything. She is a gem. Here is what she picked me up:

Girl Friendly Paint Pot (£9.25): A gorgeous muted matte pink. It is so beautiful and the perfect base. I love.

Delft Paint Pot (£9.25): I saw this last year in a Makeup Geek tutorial and fell in love but never got around to picking it up. I have’t tried this yet. I will give it a whirl later and post some pictures.

Here are some swatches of Girl Friendly and Delft…

Poisen Pen Eyeshadow LE (£7.50): It’s very hard to find pretty matte shades. This is one of them. It’s a soft grey/purple. Looking forward to giving this one a try.

and a swatch…

Intriguing Scarlet – Warm Eyes Palette (£21): I like warm shades of eyeshadows. This is a bargain considering you get 6 eyeshadows and one costs €15 in MAC in BT’s. (swatches at end of post)

and some swatches…

I love some of these shades but the medium brown (4th from left) is my favourite colour but unfortunately it’s a bit hard to work with. The greeny gold (3rd from left) is very pretty and works very well with the dark greeny black shade (1st). I’d happily bring this on holiday and leave the rest of my shadows at home. And its deliciously gaudy case…

Benefit Powderflage (£13.50): I’m intrigued by this one. It’s a powder concealer designed to set the under eye concealer or to be used alone if you need light coverage. I usually hate the look of powder under my eye but I’m assuming that this product won’t look cakey. I will keep you posted.

I am very curious about this one!

CCO’s are great for MAC fans who are hunting limited edition items that are no longer on sale. I couldn’t believe there was one in Ireland. I have been to a few in the US before but never realised there was one so close to home. Ok so it’s a bit of a drive, it’s past Belfast, but it makes me happy to know it’s there. Haha.

Have you tried any of these? What’s your thoughts on paint pots? Do you think CCO’s are worth a visit?

Powderflage is the best invention ever it is so finely crushed you cannot even see it. Dont use the brush included try using a 222 or 224.

Hi Amy you should try reading some Anita Blake vampire hunter books from Laurel K Hamilton – SO good!!!!!! They do them on play.com and cdwow.ie for 8euro and easons sells them for 14!!!!!!!

@Amy.. You wouldn’t believe how many hits I got today :D .I am in shock, Thank you. But I think they might be little disappointed :) .

@Alyson. I bought the powderflage for Amy from the AllWellanGood :) . I always visit that shop to see what they have :) .

@Amy from Belfast. Its in Antrim, about 20 min drive from belfast. The outlet mall is called Junction 1.

Yeh its the one near Newry! I find its a bit hit and miss, sometimes I pick up a few bits for good prices and other times come home with nothing! They have a discount Oasis and Warehouse which is good. The make-up place is called All Wellan Good, depending on what you’re looking for its ok but I wouldn’t go rushing out to it!x

Could you please tell us where bouts the cco is in Belfast?! =] x

  • Amy

Studying for my exam tomorrow will be disasterous if you’re doing 3 posts today :P

Had no idea there was a CCO in Ireland, whereabouts is it? Would love to pay it a visit! Banbridge outlets also have a very small discounted make up store, mainly drug store brands though with a little bit of Benefit!

All the paint pots look great but really liking the warm palette! x

Delft is such a pretty colour, I wish I’d got it now. I think Paint Pots are fab, as peachykeen said, they’re great multi-taskers.

My “can’t be bothered” eye is basically just bare study paint pot and a bit of mascara and its simple and pretty.

I’d love to know how you get on with the Powderflage. I often look at it and think I’d like it, but then I wonder if I’m just drawn in by packaging.

Great haul! I adore paint pots, I have an excessive amount of them! Delft is beautiful if you apply it like winged liner and then blend it out with a colour like MAC Nylon and I love pairing Girl Friendly with Lovey Dovey Eyeshadow Duo from Too Faced. It makes the grey silver taupe side look super bright :) Benefit Powderflage is a great product but that fan brush is awful; it works well with a fluffy brush like a MAC 224.

I love paint pots, they’re really amazing bases but they’re also great to blend together for a quick eye. xxx
