This concealer has been in my make-up bag for nearly two years. I still have the same tube. It occurred to me that this is a product I use almost every day and I have never mentioned it. How very dare I!
The good
- Not oily or greasy
- Easy to work with
- Light but good coverage
- Smudge proof
- Sanitary.No need to stick your finger in a pot of product, just squeeze
- Works well under my eyes when I’m tired
- Covers my old spot marks on my chin
- Wide range of shades available for cool and warm skin tones
- It didn’t break me out
- Doesn’t look cakey
The bad
- Looked a little dry when I used it on a spot (but most concealers I have tried do)
- Plasticine scent isn’t really a winner
- Can be too drying on people with a dryer skin
- The cap is tiny, easy to loose.
Ok so it’s not a holy grail product but it does what it’s supposed to do. It’s reliable and that’s what I need in a concealer.
Have you tried select cover up?

I’ve used this every single day for the last year. I’ve recently stopped using it because I have cystic acne and it looks way to cakey and just makes my skin look like dry-wall. I agree, its way too dry :( I started using Clinique Even better foundation, which doesn’t have a matte finish. I find it works better with a powder on top.

I love this concealer I use it every day to cover up acne scars and new acne spots particularly on my cheeks. The coverage is good I am shade NW20 but I think its a bit dark for me in the winter I want to go down a shade. This didn’t look good on my under eye circles it was a bit drying. Also you only need a pea size amount so it will last for ages making it affordable. Love it
i use this currently. i like it. it is a little drying but i like it for evening out my skin tone
Hey ye i have this concealer, its great for under the eye because like you said its light and creamy gives enough coverage and easy to blend.
oh and also i think perfect for those with alot of redness around the nose, and chin area because its not too full like studio finish.
Its not a HG, agreed! but indeed its a good concealer to have :)

Hey amy.. I have slightly dry skin and this concealer really doesn’t work on me.. I have tried other mac ones and I wasn’t really impressed by them.. Can you recommend a good concealer for around the nose and under the eye if I need it. Thank you..x
Orla, I love Revlon Age defying concealer for dry skin or benefit erase paste. They’re both creamy x
i love this product. it was one of the first products i bought from mac and have been using it for about a year. still have the same tube and like you use it everyday. only thing i find is when i wear it all day, in the evening it can start to shift. so i would have to redo my chin b4 goin out in the evening but saying that its the best ever i have found. love it! i havent tried the studio finish concealer i have heard good things about this. have you tried it? x
Laura, I haven’t actually tried the studio finish, I picked up the studio sculpt concealer before and liked it. Studio finish is on my to try list. I hear it’s good for oily patches :) x
i have this concealer.. i love it coz its not as cakey as the studio finish but its kinda sheer.
