One of my favourtie things to do is perusing makeup and nail polish swatches online. I keep a notebook beside me and add in products to my wish list, although I really shouldn’t. I also enjoy creating swatch posts so I thought I would review Max Factors Glossfinity Nail Polishes today.
Red Passion This is my favourtie red nail polish ever. Yes, EVER. It’s really glossy, opaque, a dream to apply and dries quickly. This is one of those nail polishes that works with every single outfit. It also last well. It’s the perfect red in my books.
Amethyst 150 I went through a deep purple polish phase a few years back. Since then I have rarely dabbled, think I over-did it. This is a really nice shade, although my swatch could be better. I applied two coats, which looked fine to the human eye but when I photographed it it became clear that three coats are a charm in this case.
Opal Does this shade reminfd anyone else of Stormtroopers? No? Just me so. This is a true moon-stone opal shade. It has a opalescent, opaque finish. This swatch was taken after applying only two coats. It went on easily and dried well.
Pink Whisper 40 A nude beige with a pinky undertone. This is the least flattering on my skintone as you will see. I applied three coats and coverage was still quite sheer.
All in all I really like MaxFactor polishes. The thinner brush always puts me off at first but then as soon as it goes on like a dream that’s forgotten about. The cost €7.49/£5.99 which I think is a bit pricy for pharmacy brands/drugstore but the perfect shade is worth it. Check out the red!
I know I stuck Clump Defy Mascara in the photo at the top but my review on this will follow shortly. I like to take photos of lashes before and after application for mascara reviews – you can’t trust words when it comes to volume and separation :)
I’m waiting to be called for my Cesarean Section at the moment and I’m pretty bored. Shall keep blogging – there’s no better entertainment then waffling about beauty products! Then I get to enjoy snuggles with a new baba.
Talk to you all later. Shall be back with photos!
