Hi Ladies, Welcome to my new website, yay :). I’ve just moved from blogspot so bear with me. I make YouTube videos under the name Dazzledust25. I'm also available for Weddings, Debs, Photo shoots, one on one make-up lessons and make-up parties.
My latest obsession with natural skincare is leading me down strange paths. Lately I have been enjoying the benefits of Bicarbonate of Soda.
I have been experimenting with foods and other natural things in my kitchen making my own skincare products. I came across the tub of Bicarbonate of Soda in the back of the press, I used it once to make scones. It occurred to me that my grandmother used this alot despite the fact she didn’t cook. She uses it for cleaning and for sorting out throat infections etc.
I decided to look into it further. Turns out that Bicarb is actually quite wonderful. (more…)
I was cleaning my brushes this morning and I found myself wondering if I had to pick a favourite brush what would it be.
The MAC 187 Duo Fibre brush wins hands down. Sure there are other brushes in my collection that are essentials and much more necessary than this one. But this really is my favourite, even if it’s not a staple.
This brush makes foundation application flawless. When used properly it can leave the skin looking airbrushed.
The brush is made from 2 different fibres of different lengths. The white bristles seem quite porous so using this brush to apply foundation directly to the face is not ideal as it gobbles up a lot of product. The flawless effect comes from the blending.
I like to apply my foundation sloppily with my fingers and then blend with this brush. My foundation has never looked so close to natural skin. I am a happy girl!
It can be use a brush like this with any foundation type. The downside is that it is expensive but I am happy to report that I love my Sigma SS187 just as much and it costs a fraction of the price.
I had a little play with my new Manly palette. I have to admit, I did enjoy myself. I was a little overwhelmed by all of the colours but I eventually settled on Greens.
I used Jadet and Dark blue from the palette on the lide with a little Chartruese along the lashline. I like it, pretty for Spring. (more…)
I found an absolute bargain! These jewel tone eyeshadows are silky smooth. They are inspired by India and are adorned with Indian bindis. According to the information on the packaging they are infused with 24kt gold which apparently helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines. I don’t know about that!
All colours are wet to dry:
* Intense teal blue with green and gold shimmer * Mid tone copper with gold shimmer (more…)
Quite often and sometimes for no reason at all, a product ends up in the bottom of my make-up drawer. Here are some products I’ve rediscovered lately.
It is such a waste, especially when you consider the shelf life of liquids. But I love the feeling of digging out something you forgot you even owned. It always makes me appreciate things more.
I am a busy bee preparing Mother’s Day gift boxes. The box includes seven 100% natural soap bars. I use therapeutic quality essential oils to soothe skin. I have added in some free items, since Mammy’s are worth it. The box includes:
