If you watch Made in Chelsea or you read a magazine, ever, you know well who Millie Mackintosh is. I love her style, her skin, her hair, but most of all I love her make-up.
Millie is a makeup artist and a self-proclaimed makeup junkie. This makes her choice of make-up very interesting to me. I had a snoop online and in mags and found some of her favourite products.

Kim Kardashian looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day – sure doesn’t she always. Makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic took care of her make-up saying that she wanted to look like the most polished and beautiful version of herself. Her certainly achieved that objective. If you want to see what products Mario used on Kim keep reading.
Mario used Lancôme 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Golden Frenzy (available January 2012) – “I swept the golden shade all over lid, the darkest shade along her crease and the lightest shade I used on the brow bone to highlight. I swept the golden colors along Kim’s lower lash line for a super-soft smoky look.” And to give her lashes beautiful length and volume, “I applied two coats of Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Lashes mascara in So Black,” he explains.
Finishing off the look, he defined Kardashian’s voluminous lips using YSL Dessin des Levres lip liner in Nude Beige and Lancôme’s L’Absolu Nu lipstick in Coral Sand (a sheer peachy hue), adding a final touch of shine with Lancôme La Laque Fever lip gloss in Ravishing Coral.
The make-up breakdown makes me want to buy all of these products. Shame I won’t look like Kim after application though :)

Like many of you, I spent some time perusing the red carpet snaps of celebrities on the red carpet at this years Oscars – perusing and drooling that is.
Last year I found it hard to decide which gown was my favourite. There were amazing offerings. I eventually settled on Sandra Bullock.
This year, not so much.
There was really only one that ‘spoke to me’ – saying something like ‘imagine you owned me…’ :)
The gown I speak of was worn by Mila Kunis.
She wore a beautiful light lavender dress by Elie Saab. I love the shape of the neck line, the lace detailing and the shape. It’s so delicate and the colour makes it look almost ethereal.
What was your favourite?
I mentioned on Twitter last week that I was pondering over a new hair style. I received quite mixed responses. Many of you that had gone for the chop regretted it later.
The bed-head bob always appeals to me. It still leaves you with length at the front and the sexy out of bed angle is a far cry from the 90’s ‘wife of a politician’ bob. I have never been brave enough!
I came across some photos of celebs donning the infamous bed-head bob and I find myself considering the chop…
I’m just gona’ come right out and say it – I was January Jones’ hair and I want it now!
I know people say that when you have long hair you can do so much with it but the reality for me is that I just don’t. My hair is either straight or wavy, that’s my repertoire (if you could even call it that!). I lack the skills to attempt anything different. My hair is currently just ‘long hair’. It doesn’t have a style as such and it sometimes hinders being stylish.
As I’m constantly reminded by my hairdresser parents – ‘Life is too short and hair grows!’ I take that to mean – just do it already. If it’s that simple then why am I starting to perspire?!
What do you think?

The Theatricality Lady Gaga inspired episode of Glee Season 2 was one of my favourites. I loved, well, the theatricality of it! The costumes and make-up were fantastic. No matter what I watch I’m always looking at an actors make-up, not usually a conscious thing, comes with the job.
But when I saw Quinn Fabray (Dianna Argon) step out with full on pink lashes I actually paused the tv to get a close look.
Immediately it occurred to me that I must get my hands on those lashes. As a make-up artist there is often a need for theatrical pieces in your bag.
The lashes in question are by Frends and are in number 4135. The artist brushed some Covergirl Lashblast through the pink to tone them down a little.
The lashes looked so great on the Show but I have to wonder if they drove her mad during filming. Ah the joys of show biz!
Some other products that were used by the artist:
Nars The Multiple in Orgasm
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
Mac Sushi Flower over black shadow
MAC Fun’n Sexy for lips – Fafi collection
Yes, it cannot be denied, I heart Wilhelmina Slater (played by Vanessa Williams). I watch Ugly Betty to get a goo at her clothes and makeup. Airbrushing aside this woman is just plain stunning.
I have long been an admirer of her makeup, particularly her gloss and liner combo, so I decided to investigate a little further and see what products Ugly Betty’s makeup artist use on her character.

I hate to admit it but I watch the Oscars for the dresses. I’m all about a good gúna!
There were load of gorgeous dresses but my favourite was Sandra Bullock. Her dress was exquisite. Love the hair, love the lipstick, love everything! I love vintage handmade lace. It’s so delicate and elegant.
I wonder would she lend it to me. It’s be worth the weird stares at Tesco!
Who was your Oscar night favourite?
This is my sister Eimear. I decided to use her in today’s tutorial as my model since she’s so pretty. We did this for a bit of fun really (we had to edit out 23 minutes of giggling). We love playing with wigs! The make-up is inspired my Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud (see picture below). I hope you all enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed making it. Here’s a picture of the finished look:

I have had so many requests for a tutorial on Effy from Skins Make-up (Kaya Scodelario). This is a super easy look to re-create. You also only need a few make-up items.

- Revlon Colourstay Liner- Charcoal (use any grey liner)
- MAC Omega (brows)
- Maybelline Dream Creamy Foundation(if you have good skin by pass the base completely)
- Revlon Concealer
- Maybelline Summer Pink Lipstick (patted on lips.If you have pinky toned lips then just use lipbalm)
- MAC Peaches
- MAC Print, Smut, Revlon Sable
- 17 Va Va Voom Mascara
