Drooling…

bag1Oh sweet lamb of divine.

What is with me and Mulberry?! I can’t explain it. One look at their buttery, gorgeousness and I’m dreaming about their handbags. I’m not a label head by any means but I do love beautifully made items and this is one of them. Read more…

Fashion Haul Video

Time for a little fashion haul. I picked up some shoes and clothes in the US but some are from here in Ireland.

Bought anything nice lately?

Bargain of the week! Shoes glorious shoes…

I picked up these shoes yesterday and had to share. They were an absolute bargain!

I bought them in a shop in the Ilac Centre (Dublin). Before I get to the shop I have to admit that I haven’t been in the Ilac Centre for years. Not since  my Nannie used to leave me sitting on the rocks around the fake waterfall with a  bar of Dairy Milk (back in the good aul days when it was safe leaving your child somewhere public) while she did her shopping. Anyway, I used their car park yesterday and had a wander.

I digress…

The shop is called Cans and sells only Coverse style and Vans style shoes – not the real thing mind you, nor are the supposed to be copies They’re just in-the-style-of.

I saw eight pairs that I really liked but eventually settled on this khaki pair. The best part is that they only cost €15!! They’re lovely on and I am positively delighted with myself.I  should mention that if it’s necessary to try them on before you buy as there is not a whole lot of consistency with sizing.

Outfit of the Day posts featuring these cuties to follow.

Any bargains this week?

Check their website out for sizing info. The items I’m wearing are all size Small which I would say is an 8-10. Of course they also sell extra small and larger sizes. Their clothes fit like a dream and feel expensive. Love!!

Which one is your favourite?

1 Pair of River Island Red Jeans – 3 different looks!

I have listened to your requests for more fashion posts! Let me know what you think :)

I have a new pair of red skinny jeans from River Island. They’re very pretty, but the colour scares the bejasus out of me. I decided that instead of being terrified I would take the bull by the horns (see, red’s appropriate) and put together an Outfit of the Day type post. In the interest of being, well, more interesting, I put three separate outfits together using the same pair of jeans.

Outfit 1: Smart Casual

Jeans – River Island (link!)

Jacket – H&M

Top – H&M

Shoes – Faith

Bag – Forever 21 (charms are from Penneys)

Outfit 2: Winter Cosies (Que dorky ‘Christmas is coming’ jump)…

Jeans – Same as above

Scarf – Aeropostale

Hat – River Island (Link)

Boots – Dunnes

Mittens – H&M (Link)

Coat – Dunnes

Hat – Penneys / Primark

Outfit 3: Day to Night

Jeans – as above

Top – H&M

Jacket – Forever 21

Bag – Kathy Van Zeeland

Necklace – Oasis

And the video if you’d like a goo…

These jeans are so comfortable. They also are soft, flexible and they don’t slide down when I move around (I loathe that!!). Pondering buying them in blue too.

*River Island are offering fans the chance to win items from the London boy trend (which includes my trousers) by finding items in the postcard  (click here to enter)

Autumn Outfit of the Day

Outfit of the Day are among my most requested posts. Thank you all for the requests. I promise to do more of them! Here is today’s outfit, this is my idea of relaxed casual. I am most comfortable in clothes like this.

Ignore the gruaig, it’s a mess. I just got up, got dressed and went out for breakfast. I need my highlights done asap! I also need a hair cut. I haven’t anyone near it after the short hair incident of 2010 :)

I love these boots. They’re so comfortable. I bought them in M&S last week for €60…bargain! You have probably already heard me raving about my bucket bag. I had trouble finding the Zara bucket bag, the one that all the fashion editors were raving about. It was almost €100 anyway so imagine my surprise when I find this one in Penneys (primark for those in the UK) for €11. Happy.

My beads are from Penneys too. I must have worn these a million times. I like that they’re not plastic (wood, I think) so they don’t make my skin warm. They almost weigh nothing too.

My bracelets are from Dorothy Perkins. I buy sets like this all the time. They end up together on my jewellery organiser so I mix and match when I’m getting dressed.

Shorts are from H&M, top and tights are from Penneys. These are my favourite pair of tights, they’re charcoal. I find them much softer than black. I should probably stock up. Knowing my luck they’ll discontinue them!

Cheap and cheerful!

Who needs Ray-Ban’s when we’ve got Forever 21

I’m not a label snob in the slightest. Don’t get me wrong, I love quality products and I like a bit of luxury on occasion but I wouldn’t buy a designer piece that had a label on show for the world to see. I find that tacky for some reason.

That being said I have had my eye on a pair of Ray-Ban aviator glasses for a while.

They cost €170 on Debenhams website and I saw them on sale in the US for $139 (which is €100!) – why do we have to pay €70 more for them huh?

Unfair.

Anyways, like many of you, €170 for a pair of sunglasses is not an option for me right now. I just couldn’t justify it – pay my electricity bill or buy the sunglasses sort of a scenario.

I felt a little better however when I found this pair at Forever 21 in Chicago (I saw them in Forever 21 Dublin too).

This pair cost me about $3. Granted they need a bit of a polish but they look great on – just as good as the gold Ray-Ban aviators.

Considering I don’t like designer labels on show these might just suit me better. They most definitely suited my wallet better and at least we’ll have electricity :)

Best of all – if I sit on them, I won’t cry!

Do you spend money on quality sunglasses or are you a cheap-and-cheerful sunglasses sort of a girl?

I wish! What are you drooling over this week?

I was perusing Net-a-porter, to torture myself, and came across Mulberry’s Alexa bag in the most gorgeous Watermelon shade. I think a ‘wow’ might have escaped from my lips. Dream on Amy…

Images from net-a-porter.com

I am in love. It’s very rare that I come across an item I am this excited about. It can be carried in your hand or worn across the body.

I tend to carry handbags and pass on the over-the-shoulder look as I am quite well endowed in the chest department so the strap is not a good look for me.

However, €1,100? I don’t think so. Ah well, at least I get to look :)

Oh man, I love handbags.

What are you drooling over this week?

Outfit of the Day

It’s a sunny Autumn day in Dublin -  shocking, I know!

Today’s outfit…

The sun is beaming into my eyes! My dress is from Zara… I really need to find somewhere new to shop. My cardigan is from Penneys.

My watch, bracelet and ring are from the accessories shop in the Biosfera, Peurto del Carmen, Lanzarote.

Shoes are from Zara…I think!
