Monday’s Most Wanted: Ted Baker Laptop Case

My lovely Mammy bought me a gorgeous purse from Ted Baker for Christmas (pic below). I absolutely love it! This morning I stumbled upon the matching laptop case… Uh Oh!

Said gorgeous purse…

And now the matching lap top case…

You can get the purse here – Link! (£95)

And the case here – Link! (£49)

You can see why I need both right? :) At least the case is far cheaper than the purse. Hmm… How often do I lug my dear mac book around though?! At most I bring it my mum’s house and I also have it out when travelling. Think that just about justifies a splurge.

On another note, I always wondered what my Mother’s fascination was with luggage. She once asked for a suitcase for Christmas and I thought she had gone mad. To me that was the same as asking for a nice hoover. Lately though I have found myself lusting after some nice luggage pieces, what has become of me?!

Shall I?

My most wanted beauty items this month

I thought I’d give you a look at the items I have been wanting lately. Wanting and buying are two separate things so we’ll see what products I cannot resist. You understand right?! :)

Topshop Lip Polish in Melba

I was very excited when I heard that Topshop were launching a make-up range. I headed right in on the launch date and swatched everything.

For the most part I was very underwhelmed. I think the price in Ireland may have contributed to my general lack of enthusiasm. The mark-up in Ireland is much greater than in the UK, combine this factor with the euro rate and you end up with a drugstore type make-up range at prices that don’t suit the brand or quality.

One product that did appeal to me was Polish in Melba. The image makes it look very orange. In the store it looks more like a peach. I tried it on and really liked the shade and finish. I will be purchasing.

Have you tried any of Topshop’s make-up?

Stella Eau de Parfum

Yes, again. Stella my old friend is back on the list. I have just finished my fifth bottle. I don’t know why I don’t get bored of it. It has become the Amy scent over the last few years with my friends and family noting that anyone who passes wearing it ‘She smells like Amy’.

One would think I would need a change. The truth is I do think I need a change. I try lots of perfumes and end up buying new ones but not loving them as much as Stella.

What’s your current fragrance favourite?

MAC Prolongwear Foundation

Ok so I don’t have a good record with MAC foundations. Studio Finish Powder? Cystic acne breakout. Studio Fix foundation? Cystic acne breakout. Studio Sculpt? Ok, you get the idea.

And yet I find myself tempted to try MAC’s new foundation, Prolongwear. I still searching for that stay-put foundation.

That and I’m addicted to buying foundation. Ironically I wear very little foundation. Some days I don’t wear any and rely on concealer only.

What foundation are you wearing at the moment? I’m looking for inspiration.

What are you coveting at the moment?

Monday’s most wanted…

I was in Blackrock a couple of weeks ago getting some bits and pieces (pretty bits and pieces) in The Organic Supermarket. I decided to pop in for some lunch afterwards. Whilst scoffing a rice crispie slice I noticed a huge Unicare pharmacy. Never being one to pass on an opportunity for a browse around a chemist I decided to have a waltz.

A few things caught my eye.

1.  Isa Dora Cream Gloss Stilo’s. There were 3 shades that I liked; Candyfloss, Bon Bon Pink and Peach Melba. They were super creamy and quite glossy for a lipstick. They were also richly pigmented. I tried them all on and loved all three equally. I decided that I had enough lipsticks in my collection and put them back on the shelf. That was 1 week and 1 day ago and I’m still thinking about them. When something is on your mind you must really want it… and so my search begins.

2. Gosh Light’n Shine Lip Glaze in 05: It may be electric purple in the tube but it’s damn pretty on your lips. It also doesn’t look purple, it’s more like a clear gloss with pink and purple reflects. It’s fun! It’s quite similar to a MAC Dazzleglass. These glosses come with a light up lid and mirror on the side, like the Me Me Me glosses. This actually doesn’t appeal to me at all. Mainly because I tend to apply gloss without looking in the mirror anyway. I tried it on over Isa Dora Candyfloss and the results were truly barbie.

3. Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder: Yes, it looks like chocolate and yes that’s why I want it. Only messin’! I have it on pretty good authority (Gemsmaquillage’s authority to be exact) that this is a fantastic bronzer. Now if I’m honest I don’t actually need a new bronzer, there are plenty in my collection to use up. The problem is that I just don’t want to. I have found true bronzer love in Benefit Hoola which I finished up last week. Since then I have been relying on a combination of Stila, Body Shop, Chanel and prestige bronzer. Not at the same time I can assure you but for different purposes; some have a sheen, some have shimmer, some are golden whilst some are bronze etc. Hoola is a good all rounder. I have heard that the Bourjois Delice does a similar job. I. Must. Have. It.

I’m just glad it wasn’t a high end department store I spied over my capuccino cup. Otherwise Monday’s most wanted would be costing me a fortune!

What make-up have you been eyeing up lately?
