Thicker hair: Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray is designed to help fine hair look thicker. It’s essentially a setting spray that helps you style you hair so it can be used on any hair type. This is my second bottle. The first I used intermittently over a year or so.

It smells refreshing and it’s light not oily.I spray it on my hair  and comb through when it’s damp. Then I proceed with styling. That’s it. It’s not akin to Tigi S Factor or Root Boost, it’s watery in consistency.

I wouldn’t call this an amazing hair product and it doesn’t have the same status as Surf Spray for that reason but I like it. For my fine hair it provides a little helping hand in the volume department. It doesn’t make my hair sticky, dry or greasy. It does make my hair look a little thicker and more lustrous, even if it is only an illusion.

It gives the hair grip which makes styling much easier. For this reason it can be used my those with thicker hair as a styling tool.

I bought my bottle on Amazon for £16, you can also buy a trial size bottle on Amazon. Bumble and Bumble products are also sold at Peter Marks (around €25). It’s a much bigger bottle than Surf Spray (I love this too, blog post coming soon) at 250ml.

What are your thoughts on Bumble and Bumble products? Have you tried any thickening sprays?

hi ..nice posting .. for me .. i have several options for hair thickening products :

Organin – a keratin fibers product with no toxin contained. This product is very helpful to volume your hair, with bglack, gray, dark blonde, ash blonde, brown, med brown and also dark brown.

Tigi Bed Head for Men– this product is applied like shampooing to volume your hair.

Hair dyes – recommended afro American hair thickening products

APHOGEE intensive Keratin Reconstructor – this is a hair thickening product for black hair. The vitamins and botanical oils also the keratin amino acids contained will help you to create volume hair with natural elasticity.

Henna and oat flour – these ingredients are very helpful to thicken your hair, and also to give your hair a shinny look. Also, if you want to have a volume hair, try to wash it with soap nuts.

I have wanted to try B&B ever since I read that Jennifer Anniston loved a spray of theirs-surf spray maybe? I love her hair when its a little wavy and unruly and desire the same for my own hair. Does surf spray give you that beachy bed head?

Kerastase do a similar ‘Volumactive’ spray in their Resistance range that I use. They call it a ‘volume expansion spray for fine and vulnerable hair’. It is good. But for real volume, I find Tony & Guy Boost-It Mousse very effective..

Try using a little bit after you’ve dried your hair – it adds a little bit of extra volume and helps to keep the style a little longer!

I got the ‘Sunday’ Shampoo a few weeks ago. Dont think mush of it to be honest and it was around €19 in Peter Marks!

There are mush better clarfying shampoos out there that dont make your hair dry

p.s. i bought my first ever MAC eyeshadow/product. i have been beating myself away from the MAC counter on several occassions but alas…i marched right up there and said, “i’ll have all that glitters, please.” *sigh* i love it.
