Urban Decay Rocket Pocket Gloss in Dustin – Watches, Review, How it looks on…

I have been enjoying one lip gloss in particular this month – Urban Decay Pocket Rocket in Dustin. It’s not my usual choice of shade, me being such a fan of pink. But there is something about this one that has captured my attention.

Some swatches and how it looks on my lips…

It’s really just a nude tone. That being said, it is different to other nudes in my collection. This one is browner and yet it doesn’t make my teeth appear duller.

Consistency wise, Pocket Rockets provide a perfect amount of stickiness for my liking. Not so sticky that you spend the day grabbing your hair from your lips but tacky enough that it stays put for a fairly decent amount of time. I find I get a little longer out of this one than my other glosses.

It’s creamy and pigmented. It can also be layered. One coat for a more sheer look, two for more opaque coverage.

I really love the packaging – not the scantly clad man (couldn’t care less about that one), the tube. It’s an unusual shape. I also love that there is a brush and not a doe foot applicator.

I can even make my peace with the price of these bad boys (€16/£13/$19). You get a decent amount of good quality product – not something I mind paying for. But there is a downside, isn’t there always! The scent. Bleuch! I had heard it described as a creme brulee scent, now having never tasted a creme brulee I can neither confirm nor deny those allegations. All I can smell is liquorish and something coffee-ish. It’s not for me I’m afraid. I have heard others mention that whilst they love these glosses they hate the smell.

All in all, I like this gloss a lot. I would try more but I do call for a scent change!

Have you tried these? Any Urban Decay favourites?
