Urban Decay’s Pulp Fiction Palette, Polish & Eyeliner

I’m not ashamed to admit that if Urban Decay release a new palette, I have to have it. I love the quality and pigmentation of the shadows, adore the packaging and well I honestly I get sucked in by the limited edition part. There is a par of me that also loves a gimmick. Their latest palette was released to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the film Pulp Fiction.

The palette conatins 5 shades, three of which are new. They are also made with the new formulation which means they apply like a velvet dream and last all day. The shades are inspired by the character Mia. The packaging is durable cardboard rather than tin. There’s a decent sized mirror and a blood red double ended brush. (€22/£17.50)

  • Righteous – light cream matte
  • Tyranny – warm brown matte
  • Vengeance – deep taupe brown matte-satin
  • Furious – white satin
  • Anger – black satin with slight tonal sparkle

I am in lurve with with nail polish! It’s called Mrs. Mia Wallace. It’s a deep red with slight shimmer and a high-gloss finish. But the description really doesn’t scratch it. It’s such a beautuful shade. It’s one of those polishes that looks different depending on the light. I have had so many compliments on it. (€14/£10)

Here is a bit of a messy swatch but you get the idea. It was really hard to find a picture that showed the true colour and finish of the polish. The bottle above is actually more accurate.

The Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Gunmetal is black with silver sparkle. Although glitter won’t be everyones cup of tea I should point out that it is super-fine but still packs bling. It dries quickly and does stay put. I actually used some on the centre of my lid over  a grey smokey eye for a night out, worked quite well.

All in all a good offering for the price range. The palette is good for those of you who want some basic shadows that you can dress up or down as such. The glitter liner isn’t really my thing but if you like glitter you will disagree. And I did like it on the lid with a smokey eye. The polish is a love!

Did anyone splurge?

I’ll be back tomorrow morning with a rave about some absolutely magic skincare. I can’t get enough of it!
