Victoria Secret Lipsticks

PIC_0583This is my first experience with Victoria Secret lipsticks. I ordered 3, a sheer pink, a peach and a coral. It was tough to settle on these three but after consulting some swatches I decided these suited my requirements; a soft, medium and loud. Don’t ask why I felt the need or a loud lipstick when I am addicted to neutrals, I’m may be trying to change my ways.

Satin Sheets is the first in the picture. It’s very sheer, with little colour. It adds a lovely dimension to the lips when applied over other lipsticks. It also looks very pretty on bare lips for a soft pink sheen. This is one fo those lipsticks that will live in my handbag. Regardless of what lipstick I apply when I’m getting ready I always keep a go to lippie in my bag and I retouch with that. I think one makes lips look kissable.

Scrumptuous is a true peach. It’s much more pigmented than Satin Sheets. This is one of those lipsticks that will look great on most skintones. It’s quite a warm, fleshy shade. I notice on the show What Not to Wear that the make-up artist usually applies a peach shade on the women during the make-over; this is what this lipstick reminds me of. I applied it over concealed lips lined with MAC Buerre Liner and a dab of Love Nectar Lustre Glass. It looked quite glamorous but in a soft way. It made me look polished.

Cabana is a coral. It looks quite bright but has a semi sheer finish. It is absolutely gorgeous and bang on trend this season. Whether I have the guts to wear it is another issue!

I realize that I’ve come late to the conversation, but I was browsing for a good picture of the color Cabana, came across this and thought I’d put in my thoughts since I love VS makeup.
I have lipsticks in Cabana, Rosebud, Vino, and Sweet Nothing. I also have Nude lip liner, the Closer eyeshadow palette, one of the new limited edition palettes called Jungle Heat, a limited edition face highlighter called Desert Twilight and lipgloss called Ravish, the High Deffinition mascara, 2 lipglosses in Sublime and Glow, and the eyeshadow primer.
I LOVE them all. There’s none of it that I would trade. The color payoff is fantastic in all of the products and they all apply very well.

I just got an order from VS a few days ago too! Are you sure that lipstick is called Sumptuous? I got Scrumptious, Whisper and VIP and I love em all. Whisper is very sheer. I also got two eye shadows – private beach which is a lovely shimmery lilacy taupe ( hard to explain) and a useful matte grey called Prowl (velvet). Two lipglosses – one brilliant lip shine in rock me which is a pump with a brush (very peachy) and a delicious beauty rush lip gloss in passion fruit which I love. So far I highly recommend what I purchased. :)

@Sue Thanks Sue I updated the name of the lipstick :) Private beach sounds so pretty. I must add it to my list, along with the glosses. Thanks for sharing :)

Yes I have tried VS makeup and I really love it. I have more of it from before the change over, but I love their lipsticks. Their eye shadows, while beautiful, are a bit too glittery for me, like Urban Decay, but some are still worth buying. Great review I’ve been looking to buy another of their lipsticks but didn’t know which
