I also love this concealer and have been using it for at least 8yrs now! One of my favourite ways to use it is to mix a little with my moisturizer and make my own tinted moisturizer. Gives enough coverage to even things out a bit without being heavy or cakey. Even doing this most days, I only need to repurchase maybe every 6mths! I do find it a bit sheer on its own for my undereyes, but I’m going to try it with a fluffy brush and see if that helps. Thanks!
Hi, Amy. I haven’t been to your site for quite a while now. Good to see your site developing all the time. It makes it more interesting to come back more often:) I’m also glad to see you’re back to blonde :D I know your parents are hairdressers and they do your hair, so you probably didn’t get this colour using any home dying kits. But can you tell me more or less which shade is your blonde? It looks very light ash blonde to me, but it could be the lightning.

My mam is a colouritst so she stripped my colour out to bring it back to it’s natural colour and then added a few lowlights and highlights through the very top for contrast.
My natural hair colour is medium blonde – close to a hair colourist wheel shade 7 and 8. Then my mum highlighted with an 8.2 and lowlighted with a 6.2 just through the t-bar. The rest is my own colour.
Also she was careful not to use ash tones – they make me look dead so if my hair appears ash based on camera it’s prob lighting. It’s more cream blonde.

Hi Amy, I love this video and have been using a fluffy brush since I watched it :-) just wondered how you thought this concealer compares to the Benefit Boi-ing. I’ve used the Benefit before but not the Mac and I need to buy a new concealer fairly soon. I’ve also used the Amazing cosmetics concealer which is great but it’s quite hard to get hold of.
Hi Sharon, Boi-ing is thicker. It’s a very different texture to select. My advice would be to go into mac and test the select on your skin to see if you like the feel of it – if your used to and like boi-ing select might not be your cup of tea. Personally I find select looks more natural and I like that it’s not as thick. Def try before you buy! x
I completely agree, select cover-up is a fantastic concealer and the only one I’ve ever repurchased. Thanks for the tips regarding brush application Amy, I’ll definitely give it a go!

[..YouTube..] @jackiejimenez1984 I have the same problem. I use Loreal paris studio secrets anti redness primer. It is green so, it is made to cancel out the red. I find using a sponge is the best way to apply it in a thin layer. I hope this helps. It doesn’t cancel out all the redness for me, but it does tone it down.

[..YouTube..] @jackiejimenez1984 try using a green concealer on these areas and then foundation on top. Always helps me, i have very red cheeks all the time!!! You can get an inexpensive one from sephora brand, its a quad, but you really just need greed, it counteracts the red. Hope that helps!
