One of my most commonly asked questions is how to choose foundation for oily skin, what products are good, what type of foundation to use etc. I decided it would be easier to record a video response to the many questions. By the way, I have made a few suggestions about products I have found useful but check out the comments for other peoples suggestions – I always learn something.

thanks for the vidoe on this, Amy. I just get oily skin some days so i dont think I would be hard core enough for the laura mercier. I use a mix of colourstay and photoready at the minute. i might try the estee lauder or makeup forever velvet foundation. Im actually down for the makeup forever intensive makeup course next week and i get a discount on the day so i may as well take advantage and buy it then. i must invest in the blotting paper. I find that the most important thing for my skin is to make sure that i take my makeup off at night. and boy, does my skin pay for it if i dont! (i can be very tired and lazy some nights but i suppose, everyone does it from time to time). anyways, thanks again for this video. looking forward to the colour matching video. and i know how u feel about the braces, although i had mine about 10 years ago. really makes me feel old just saying that! but dont worry, your gums will get used to it x

I have combo/oily skin and I really like Maybelline Matte Mousse foundation a lot. But my absolute favorite is just the Maybelline Pure Stay powder. It has pretty good coverage (I would say at least medium if not full) and keeps me matte longer than any foundation I have ever tried!

I had mine when i was a teenager and had to wear a retainer for 2 years … i didnt and they are not as straight as i would like them! so wear your retainer! I had mine when i was a teenager and had to wear a retainer for 2 years … i didnt and they are not as straight as i would like them! so wear your retainer! I got my top braces off a couple of weeks ago but still have to wear the bottom for another few months :( The inside of your mouth will continue to ‘shred’ (mine still does) but you won’t notice it as much because you’re mouth ‘toughens up’ a bit! Just a word of warning – make sure you ask your orthodontist to keep the centre line of your two front teeth in line with the centre of your lips – mine are off centre and I’m bitterly disappointed with the end result.
