What do you spend No7 vouchers on?

I’m always grateful when the sales assistant hands me a €7.50 off voucher at the till in Boots. However, the voucher is for No.7 products. I’m really not a fan (although their lipstick in Starshell is one of my favourites).

When I was in college I seemed to be in Boots a few times a week (god knows why) and one term I had an endless supply of No7 vouchers. I actually used to struggle to find products to buy. I hated the eyeshadows, eye liners, lipliners and glosses so  I often bought skincare items. A few years on and really nothing has changed. The same weak products in the range are still weak.

Anyway, I found myself with three vouchers this week and not a clue what to spend them on. As I mentioned, I’m not a fan of the brand in general. I find it very over-priced and many of the products remind me of their 17 range but with fancier packaging. I find the pigmentation of the eyeshadows and glosses disappointing and the formulations of the eye liners and brow pencils just don’t cut it for me.

That being said, I was determined to find a product to spend the voucher on :)

I swatched and tested a few bits n’ pieces and settled on two items…

No7 Quick Cover Concealer and No7 Nail Polish in Pink Grapefruit. (Reviews and swatches to follow)

I just couldn’t find anything to spend the third voucher on. I was tempted by an oil shower wash but left flustered. I would love to hear what you have picked up with your vouchers in the past or recently. Any recommendations?

Bought the no7 blending brush and a nail varnish (Damson Dream) today just to get something with the vouchers, so I’m happy to hear the brush is like the Mac 217 and I do find their nail varnishes good.

I only recently started using them to get their brushes and for a clear eyebrow mascara, as I couldn’t find any cheaper brand that does one.

The vouchers used to included the no. 7 brushes and Ruby and Mille but I don’t think the latest vouchers include beauty tools which is so annoying because I used to always get the no.7 blending brush for free! Quite like their nude lip liner and their face cream highlter in pink..it’s really nice, it’s in a squeezy tube and a brush on the end!

Boy would I love if they made it just a general €7.50 to use store-wide !! A girl can dream !! I norm get their exfoliators, face wipes or microdermabrasion line, works a treat and more affordable with voucher !!

I don’t really buy makeup with them just brushes or sponges – just got their exfoliating sponge & really like it. Can I ask is that Tresor midnight rose in the background? just wondered what you think of it. I’ve got a sample and love it but can’t decide whether to buy the full size or not :-) xx

I really don’t rate their makeup other than their foundations but I love their skincare. They’re generally much better quality than other No7 products and they last long enough to give you value for money. Though because of this, most vouchers expire long before I get round to needing them.

Good to know – any products you recommend?

I’ve just started on a Repair and Perfect pot after falling in love with my mum’s – my first grown up moisturizer – and I’d definitely recommend any of their day creams. I’m not convinced the different ranges within the No7 skincare have any real difference between them but they’re really rich without being greasy and they soak into the skin really well – a problem I have with a lot of creams and lotions is that they just sit on the surface and don’t really do anything – and a little goes a long way.

I usually get nail polish or the eyelashes. I stock up on ickle items for Christmas stocking fillers.

amy why arent you spending them on the brushes I use them all the time in my kit! And some of them are only 7 euro so their free the eyeliner brush is great for lips and u can never have enough lip brushes they also do a blending brush which is really good 2 reminds me a little of mac 217 i would never waste them on the makeup as its not good standard but the brushes are great!
