What shape is your face?

7

1. Heart  – this face has a narrow jaw, is wide at cheekbones/and or forehead
2. Square  – this face is usually as wide as it is long
3. Round -  this face is generally as wide as it is long
4. Diamond  – this face is widest at the cheekbones, narrow forehead, jaw line of approximately equal widths
5. Oblong  – this face is longer than it is wide
6. Oval  – this face’s length is equal to one and a half times its width

You can also measure your face to figure out your face shape. Measure your face across the top of your cheekbones, measure across your jaw line from the widest point to the widest point, measure across your forehead at the widest point, measure from the tip of your hairline to the bottom of your chin. Compare your readings with 1-6 above.

I have a series of make-up posts coming up for each face type. I thought it would be good to have this up for reference.

I hope this was helpful.

    @alanna : I have the l’oreal true match roll on foundation. I love it…
    Good points:
    -fun to apply,
-the coverage is nice but not heavy looking. My mother wouldnt be very interested in makeup but she told me my makeup was very nice, not too heavy.
-It covers my spots and rosy cheeks.
-I got it last month for €15( normally €19.95)
    Bad points:
-Only six shades(and not many pale ones)
-There wasnt a tester there for the colour i purchased(but i had already tried my friends)
-Takes a bit of practice, the first time you can roll it on too heavy.

also.. the colour of the product in the pan looks different to the colour on my face. The colour in the pan looks too dark for me but its nice on.

There is also a True match mineral foundation and a liquid foundation, good luck!

And thanks for this post.. im going to try measuring my face since i cant really see and shape in my face!

Yaay! I nearly was about to ask, for a vid for people with round faces like me. Its so annoying having a round face, as u can only hav certain hair styles, certain sunglasses, well u dont hav to, but oversized ones just look strangee :( But oh well :D x
