Yes to Carrots Eye & Face Make-up Remover: Yes, Yes, Yes!

In my next video – my favourite affordable make-up and beauty products, I declare undying love for Yes to Carrots Eye and Face Make-up Remover. It’s a string statement to make about a cleanser so I thought I ought to explain myself.

The good:

  • Paraben Free
  • Creamy
  • Affordable –  €8.91 for 250ml
  • Decent amount of product – 250ml to be exact
  • Nice soft scent
  • Doesn’t irritate my current sensitive skin
  • No need for cotton wool, it washes off (I use a muslin cloth for added exfoliation)
  • No oily residue – I haven’t been toning! Oh the horror!
  • Gentle on eyes
  • Removed every screed of eye make-up
  • Easy to find; chemists, Boots, some Supermarkets. It appears to be sold worldwide. Check out their website for more information:

The bad:

  • I can’t think of any! I suppose the bottle is so big that it would be no good for traveling (but that’s really reaching for a fault! Maybe they offer travel size options)

According to the website Yes to Carrots products are for normal to dry skin. I have combination skin; normal with an oily chin (annoying) and this product hasn’t made my skin oily or greasy at all. Apparently Yes to Tomatoes is for oily to combination skin, Yes to Cucumbers for normal to sensitive skin.

As long as this cleanser keeps my skin in it’s present condition I shall be repurchasing this til the cows come home! Thank you little sister for buying me this one.

It makes me wonder about the rest of the All About Carrots range. Have you tried any?

Amy what would you recommend for dry skin that’s breaking out, Say Yes to Carrots or The Body Shop?

  • Melissa

Amy, I have have combination/dry skin but lately I have a bout of very sore and painful acne and after reading your blogs I am wondering if it is all the chemicals in my cleansers and moisturizer (I currently use aveeno ultra calming cleanser and moisturizer). I was just wondering if you recommend either yes to carrots cleanser and moisturizer and makeup remover or the body shop ultra moisturizer. Your such a doll and I’m a big fan

k so heres my problem I decided after a year on NO.7 facial regime that i wanted 2 step it up and also (i blame it on the weather and medication) my skin broke out…..I spent E90 on Clinique 3 step plan……im type 2 combination oily…like you u i break out on my chin and around my mouth…..the toner was realy strong and i had such a bad overall breakout so i was told to dilute the toner…..then i spent around E20 on Clinique make up remover and E20 on a acne reducing stick…………IVE NEVER EVER HAD SUCH A BAD BREAK OUT IN MY LIFE….i now hav spots under my nose….my chin of course around my lips….hair line….head….cheeks….this question is kinda obvious but should i stop using all products and go back to basics…make up remover and moisturiser????im soooo scared 2 try new things ive wasted tonnes of money on this after it was reviewed by juicystar07 ….carrots…….or clinique??????HELP!!!!xoxo

Sarah, we’re in the same boat. Was using the clinique 3 step (same type as you) it was going well but after a few weeks I started to get painful, frequent breakouts. I stopped using it and after a few weeks no breakouts! Ironically my skin has never been clearer. There’s a lot to be said for leaving your skin alone. I know it’s a waster of money not to keep using the clinique but maybe take a break from it for 2 or 3 weeks and see do the breakouts clear. Good luck and let me know how you get on x

    • Amy

Yay! I’m glad you found it!

  • Barbara

had to run and get it too. Lovely for my face ( that’s very dry and other remvoers dry it out completely).
only I can’t get my waterproof mascara off with this stuff , maybe I expected to much. will try he other products though

    • Amy

Barbara, I use ordinary mascara, forget to test it on waterproof! Apologies x

  • Amanda

I tried the eye cream and didn’t think it was great. It was just like putting a normal moisturiser around my eyes. It’s such an appealing range though – might give the cleanser a go!

  • Kalyn

I LOVED the yes to carrots body butter so I decided to get the yes to cucumbers facial mask…it was amaaazing. My face felt so smooth afterward and didn’t leave my face red and all blotchy like a lot of products do!!! :)

  • Caoimhe

yes i’ve tried the moisturiser and face mask! amazing! i have very sensitive skin and they dont irritate me at all, so nourishing i love yes to carrots!

  • Jen

I have the Yes To Carrots, C Me Shine lip gloss in Flirty Pink. I LOVE it! I never end up finishing any of my lip glosses, but this one is at the end. It has a nice minty smell, and is not sticky at all.

Hi all, i got a free tube of the ‘Yes to Carrots’ hand an elbow cream when i ordered stuff from Victoria health (I like my supplements you see) and tried it out immediatley. It’s sooo gorgeous! Smells a bit like really nice sun cream (not carotts!) and has a a divine ‘body butter’ like texture. it leaves your skin really springy feeling and amazingly soft too. Lovely!! Just thought i’d share! x

  • Desireediaz

oh, where can you buy this? Is it gentle enough for eyes?
I currently use MAC cleanse off oil, but don’t like it very much. It makes my eyes water forever after using it.
Interesting post. I love learning about new and affordable products.

    • Amy

Bianca, It’s so gentle on my eyes (I have really sensitive eyes) You can buy it in chemists, supermarkets, boots :)
